Why Donate to ZOE’s Animal Rescue
As a shelterless rescue run entirely by volunteers, every dollar you donate goes straight to helping animals.
Zoe’s uses donations to ensure all fosters are fully vetted before adoption including a wellness exam, spaying or neutering, microchip insertion, routine vaccinations, and parasite treatment. Many of our animals also come in with injuries or ailments which quickly and easily reach several hundred dollars, occasionally into the thousands.
In addition to the animals we intake, foster, and adopt, your donations go towards helping us run a number of programs including SaNeR, Pet Food Bank, and Helping Hands. These programs aim to help control the unwanted pet population, and provide food, supplies and vetting within our target communities and low-income households.
Zoe’s Animal Rescue is a registered charity (#830544938RR0001) and can give out official tax receipts when requested. Tax receipts are sent out annually and require a minimum donation of $20 as set forth by the Canadian Revenue Agency.

To receive a tax receipt for donations over $20, please include your full mailing address and email address in the e-transfer comments.

Donate Supplies
Have extra pet supplies you no longer need? Consider donating them to Zoe’s! Our most required items include:
- Cat litter
- New or gently used cat trees or scratching posts
- Feliway diffusers and refills, especially Feliway Friends or Multicat version
- Puppy training pads
- Wet dog/puppy food
- Wet cat/kitten food
- Kongs and other strong chew toys
Contact us to coordinate a drop-off or pick-up, or purchase items from our business partners below and leave them at our donation bins.

Donate as a Gift
A donation to Zoe’s makes an incredible gift! It’s a unique and meaningful way to commemorate a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, graduation, or the holidays while helping animals at the same time.
We will email you a printable postcard that acknowledges the donation. You can print it out at home and your gift is ready.
Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society to benefit. In addition to your donation ATB will match 20% of every dollar donated to to an annual limit of $360,000 to Alberta-based, non-religious charities. Eligible charities may receive up to $5,000 in matching per year. Individual donations qualify for a maximum donation match of $500.
